A fintech platform developed by the Land Transport Authority Singapore allows users of public transport to download data on their bus and train rides. With this innovation, Assoc Prof Alberto Salvo, Deputy Head (Research) at the Dept of Economics, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at NUS and Prof Leonard Lee, from the Dept of Marketing at NUS Business School and Director of the Lloyd's Register Foundation Institute for the Public Understanding of Risk at NUS opined that consumers would be educated on their carbon footprint, and the government could reward those who are greening their lifestyles.

While the National Day Rally 2023 focused on various aspects of successful ageing, there is one dimension that looms large over Singapore’s future: The impact of ageing on our workforce and economy. Meeting workplace needs in a super-aged society thus requires making every job attractive and maximising every worker’s potential said Assoc Prof (Practice) Terence Ho from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS.
