Pacific Music Festival (PMF), 30 June to 1 August 2008

Three of the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory¹s string students ­ Li Mengqi (Cello, MUS1), Cao Qi (Violin, MUS4) and Zhou Yi (Violin, MUS4) will attend the PMF Academy and be immersed in a comprehensive curriculum consisting of the Orchestral, Composition and String Quartet courses for nearly four weeks.

PMF is an international educational music festival founded in 1990 by conductor, composer and educator Leonard Bernstein aimed to develop the talents of outstanding young musicians. Held annually in Sapporo, Japan, only a hundred over promising young musicians around the world are selected through a very competitive audition process from more than a thousand applicants.
